We Support our Amazing Key West Community

We’re sometimes asked what it’s like to live in Key West. There’s something for everyone, we say. First of all, making friends is exceptionally easy, because there just aren’t that many grocery stores! Beyond the excitement of Duval Street and the tourist activities, Key West residents can experience a rich life filled with cultural and family events. This island city offers diverse opportunities to join a group activity or support a charitable organization, or help with a local fundraiser.

You’ll find Cory and Jeffrey out and about town at most local events. Both are huge enthusiasts of the cultural and arts communities in Key West, supporting the Waterfront Playhouse, The Fringe, and the Studios of Key West for the performing, visual and creative arts. Cory and Jeffrey also stand solidly behind children’s organizations, actively supporting the Boys and Girls Club as well as Special Olympics of the Florida Keys.

And DOGS… Let’s face it. Key Westers love dogs. Cory’s little Puli, (Hungarian sheepdog) Leo, is Cory’s pride and joy, herding Cory and husband Paul around the house and yard. Leo has been the inspiration for a project both Cory and Jeffrey have jumped into to work with the local SPCA animal shelter to help find homes for dogs. A campaign on social media is underway to promote homeless dogs and place shelter animals into foster and adoptive homes.

A casual observer might not know it by looking, but the roots of community in Key West are very strong. Residents of this small island city work hard together to contribute to the community, and the sense of closeness among locals runs deep. As Jeffrey is proud of saying, “People do for others, all
